Rainy Day
Last Tuesday I woke up late, frantically called my dad to see if he was at work and if he would be able to pick me up and take me to school. It was the last day of classes and would be bad if I missed the last LDS History class. He was able to pick me up, but not able to drop me off in the JSB, which was okay since I walked quickly there from the MOA parking lot. I was in a 3/4 length baseball t-shirt with "We Will Rock You" in bold letters above "Utah Academy Dance Studio." This was my dance company that I went to in high school with the shirt we used for a special dance. I was also in brown pants tied just below the knee and my grey/white flip flops. It was nice enough out that I did not
need a jacket, but as I walked back from the bus stop to my apartment, it began to lightly shower. So after I showered and was dressed, I grabbed a light jacket with a hood to cover me from the rain as I walked to work. The walk was nice and work was fine. Nothing spectacular to remember that day. When I headed back onto campus for my very last class, the rain started again harder and smelt wonderful! The rain kept coming down harder after class and while waiting for the bus, I realized it was going to be interesting to walk from the bus stop to my apartment once again. Once I got off the bus I began to walk but soon began to run thinking I could get to my apartment faster and less wet. I was very wrong. I arrived with most of my clothes soaked, half my hair dripping wet, and very out of breath. But it was so worth it, as I looked into the mirror and saw me wet. To get soaking wet from the rain is one of the things I want to do before I die and it happened! I was so excited I began to tell everyone who I knew that would care. I am sure they all thought I was being a dork, but I didn't care. It enthralled me to have gotten that wet from nature!
